Snacking for Weight Loss



Snacking is very important in weight loss diets. Eating a snack in between meals help curb hunger. Best time to have snack is mid morning and evening.


- Pick for roasted makhanas, handful of nuts, roasted chanas, instead of namkeen as they are very high in salt and oil.

- Fruits are a great option for snacking as they are rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.

- Keep yourself hydrated - drink lots of water or even infused water, ave fluids like coconut water/ buttermilk/ vegetable soup/ green tea. It prevents dehydration and helps to flush out toxins.


Snacking in Mid Morning for Weight Loss

Buttermilk/ coconut water/ Green Tea along with fruits allowed in the list.


Snacking in Evening for Weight Loss

Tea along with 2 marie lite biscuits/ digestive biscuits/ roasted amaranth/ diet bhel/ roasted chanas/ roasted murmura/ roasted makhanas/ boiled egg whites


Nuts and Seeds for Snacking

7-8 almonds, 1 walnut, 1 tsp of mix seeds, 1 fig and 1 date can be had daily.
